Terms of Service
Last updated: 02 September 2026.
These Terms govern your use of Ratito, operated by Barbara Sanchis Server, based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By using Ratito, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What Ratito is
Ratito is a collaborative video diary app. You and a group of people you invite (a "stream") each record short video clips, which get combined into a shared film. Anyone in the stream can see every clip added to it.
2. Who can use ratito
You must be 13 or older to create an account. One account per person — don't share your login with anyone else.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens through your account. Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.
4. Joining and being part of a stream
When you join a stream, everyone already in it can see any clip you add — and every clip you add will be visible to anyone who joins later, too. The app shows you who's already in a stream when you join it. If you're not comfortable with that group seeing your clips, don't join, or leave before recording.
A stream's owner can remove you from a stream at any time, for any reason. If that happens, your clips stay in the stream — reassigned to the owner, per our Privacy Policy §8 — but you're no longer part of the group going forward, and you won't be able to rejoin with the invite code unless the owner explicitly allows you back in.
5. Your content
You own the clips you record. By adding a clip to a stream, you give the other members of that stream, and Ratito, the right to store, display, and combine it (along with everyone else's clips) into the stream's shared film, for as long as the stream exists.
You're responsible for what you record and share — including having an appropriate relationship and context to capture and share footage of anyone who appears in it, particularly children (see our Privacy Policy §4 for how we think about this).
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Ratito to:
- upload content that's illegal, harassing, or that you don't have the right to share;
- try to access another user's account or another stream you haven't been invited to;
- interfere with the app's normal operation (e.g. attempting to bypass rate limits or security controls);
- use the service for any purpose it wasn't intended for.
We can suspend or remove access for accounts that break these rules.
7. No monetization today
Ratito is currently free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. We may introduce paid features in the future — if we do, pricing, billing terms, and cancellation terms will be presented clearly at the time of purchase and incorporated into these Terms before you're charged anything.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. What happens to your content when you do depends on whether the streams you're part of are shared with others — the app shows you exactly what will happen before you confirm, and the full detail is in our Privacy Policy §8. In short: a shared stream is never destroyed just because one contributor leaves.
9. No warranty
Ratito is provided "as is." We're a small, independent project (currently a solo developer)) — we do our best to keep the service reliable and your content safe, but we can't guarantee the app will always be available or error-free. Back up anything irreplaceable.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Ratito. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that can't legally be limited (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Ratito changes. We'll notify you of material changes in-app or by email; continued use of Ratito after that constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
